"The Sephardic Legacy of Multi-cultural Medieval Spain"

Among the collaborations of Shira Kammen, now that we are working in her discography, we find the the CD of Lauren Pomerantz Wings of Time, also known as Jewels of the Sephardim vol. 2. So here we have it together with Jewels of the Sephardim [vol. 1].

We knew Lauren sang in that magnificent recording of the Cantigas of Santa Maria by Thomas Binkley, though I'm afraid our mostly baroque-oriented members will not remember her. The instrumentalists are also very well known, at least for the lovers of medieval music (and the like).

Lauren's voice could be unpleasant to some in some moments, at least in the volume 1. Volume 2 is pure joy and I don't want to think the mere presence of Shira is enough to make us feel inside another sound dimension.
